Unbabel

Unbabel uses the Portuguese Named Entities Recognition modules of STRING for the anonymisation (or de-identification) and the re-identification of named entities in the distributed translation process. Anonymisation is required for dealing with privacy issues whenever sensitive data sharing is involved, as in the Unbabel crowdsourcing translation service.

OOBIAN

STRING is a key technology in the development of the OOBIAN project, particularly its Named Entity Recognition and Event & Relation Extraction modules.

OOBIAN aims to build lexical and grammatical resources for local integration in a mechanism to recognize syntactic-semantic relationships on text.

OOBIAN is leadered by MAISIS. The L2F/INESC-ID Lisboa is partner of this project under the QREN National Program.
